Masayesva: Use SMCRA to protect Navajo aquifer

KYKOTSMOVI — The Hopi Tribe needs to use the 1977 Surface Mining Control and Reclamation Act to protect the Navajo aquifer against damage from mining by Peabody Western Coal Co., according to Black Mesa Trust Executive Director Vernon Masayesva.
